The Travellers Travel Guide to Bali
In association with Visit Indonesia Tourism, Junction-18 were approached to create an iPad travel and game based app in order to attract more visitors to Bali.
Outwith online forums, which are content heavy and unengaging to the viewer reader, the majority of travel websites are focused on promoting tourism and other popular attractions. This approach overlooks parts of the destination which are raw with culture and will therefore largely appeal to travellers. As part of a campaign with Visit Indonesia Tourism, Junction-18 created an e-learning module to educate sales agents and potential travellers to experiences which are more personal and less commercialised.
Holidays should be exciting, engaging and full of exploration. This inspired the Travellers Travel Guide to Bali. Created by real travellers who have firsthand experience of the island. Top tips & personal experiences will be unlocked through assessment based questions within the module, ensuring a clear, concise and engaging method of learning about an exciting destination.
The important info
Having spent time in Bali, establishing the need to know
information was easier as I had first hand experience. There
are a variety of hidden visa costs, day to day tipping and recommended vaccines or health supplements to take before travelling that were established as the essential information
to include within the module.
The Final Concept
The final concept was mapped out instead of wireframing as there was a short deadline on the project. Due to the nature of the communication across time zones, this was presented via a live Skype video conference.
